UCC, Terenure and Cork Con unbeaten records on the line

Terenure College and UCC were the two bottom sides after the first three games of last season, with the threat of relegation looming over both teams for the entire campaign. They both eventually survived, with Terenure getting out of jail in the final round and UCC coming through a play-off.

Both teams are in a very different position this season, as they and Cork Constitution are the only unbeaten sides in Division 1A as we enter this weekend’s series of games.

Clontarf, who lie in 6th position, are visitors to The Mardyke in Cork on Saturday to face the college side, who currently head the table.

Cork Con are on the road as they travel to Lakelands Park to play Terenure College, with one of the sides likely to lose their unbeaten start to the Energia All-Ireland League season.

Garryowen host Ulster outfit Ballynahinch at Dooradoyle, the all-Dublin clash of Lansdowne and Dublin University takes place on the back pitch of the Aviva Stadium, while UCD are at home to Young Munster.
