Leinster Rugby Squad Injury news update ahead of Dragons on Friday

Leinster Rugby Head Coach Leo Cullen has issued an injury update ahead of Friday’s Guinness PRO14 game away to the Dragons (Kick Off: 7.35pm – live on Eir Sport).

Injury Update – Available for Selection:

Rory O’Loughlin: has returned to training following a shoulder injury and is expected to be available for selection

Tommy O’Brien: has returned to training following an ankle injury and is expected to be available for selection

Injury Update – Further Assessment Required:

Michael Bent: has returned to training following a neck injury but will require further assessment this week before a final decision is made on his availability

Adam Byrne: will look to increase his training involvement this week after recovering from a hamstring issue

Scott Penny: has returned to training following a neck injury but will require further assessment this week before a final decision is made on his availability

Injury Update – Not Available for Selection:

Caelan Doris: flagged some concussive symptoms while in camp with Ireland and he returned to Leinster Rugby to further investigate those symptoms. Once the investigation is complete and all information is to hand, we will issue a further update

Dan Leavy: has had a procedure to repair cartilage in his knee which will keep him out of action for the rest of the season

Jimmy O’Brien (hamstring), Conor O’Brien (knee), Max Deegan (knee) and Vakh Abdaladze (back)
